MTSX Labtool R03.00.02
I have MTSX LABTool R03.00.02 but I’m getting the “Codeplug Too New” error when I try to read it with the LABTool…
I am in need of a clean codeplug for a 900 MHz MCS2000 Type III

SOLVED: system cannot find the file specified - MCS2000 Programing software issue
For some reason the software does not open and I get an alert 'the system cannot find the file specified'.
I use the MCS2000 CPS R02.03.00. can it be a problem with the version of windows i am using? or do i need to get other software to help support it?

MTS2000 | MCS2000 Advanced System Key removal
For those who like to play around, I have traced out the offsets and data for enabling/disabling the Advanced System Key (ASK) or Advanced Conventional Key (ACK) in the codeplug dataspace.
When the ASK/ACK is enabled, one cannot write to the radio unless the ASK/ACK is connected to the programming computer. This essentially means if you're ASK/ACK'd, your radio is a doorstop.
Obviously some of you are intelligent enough to be aware of how to get around this issue (force a new s-record in, or play with Lab), but for those who want to do things the hard/technical way, here's the information:
In the MTS2000 codeplug, the ACK/ASK status is located at 0x28E.
In binary, the status is represented by the first flag, in the first bit of the byte. So if you see 1000 (on, off, off, off), it's active. Set the first flag as disabled. If the byte is E2, (1110, 0010), you would set it to 62. (0110, 0010) I hope that makes sense.

MCS2000 for 900 mhz amateur radio
I have purchased an MCS2000 for 900 mhz amateur. The radio programes ok
but I cannot get the receiver to work on PL/DPL. The receiver is CSQ
only. I have programmed both transmit and receive for DPL/PL. The
radio is set up for trunk mount so wondering if there is a hangup that
enables/disables the DPL/PL on receive?
Is the mic off hook when you're trying this? Their is a setting in the CPS to determine if it goes into CSQ when the mic is off hook.
